The firm identifies distressed, disruptive and growth opportunities with a focus on generating premium and durable income streams by partnering with industry-leading companies, establishing de novo entities, and investing in or acquiring operating businesses.
"We are excited about the launch of Innovatus and believe that through our unique investment strategy, differentiated sourcing channels and deep bench of talent, we are well-positioned to capitalize on dislocations brought on by changes in the regulatory landscape, episodic market volatility and the accelerating pace of innovation,” said Mr. Schiff, CEO of Innovatus. “With a multitude of industries facing an unprecedented pace of innovation, regulatory and shareholder pressures or limited access to credit, the universe of private investment opportunities has never been more compelling.”
Joining Mr. Schiff and Mr. Dym in leading Innovatus is a team of senior managers with diverse backgrounds and robust investment management experience, including:
- Andrew Hobson, Partner and Chief Financial Officer: Mr. Hobson joined Innovatus from Univision Communications, where he served as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, leading multiple acquisitions and joint ventures throughout his 23 year tenure at the firm.

Mr. Dym, President of Innovatus said, “With the retreat of traditional lenders, we could not think of a more opportune time to implement our proven strategy of identifying and capitalizing on misunderstood and mispriced private market opportunities. We have designed the firm to be the capital partner of choice for corporations facing distress and disruption as well as tackling new avenues of growth. We are all very excited by the launch of this endeavor.”
Additionally, Innovatus announced that Israel “Izzy” Englander, the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Millennium Management LLC, will join the advisory board of the General Partner and act as Strategic Advisor.
