Amy Cohen
Ms. Cohen has over twenty years of experience working in the capital markets in positions across marketing, investor relations, trading and structuring. Ms. Cohen’s strategy expertise spans credit (corporate, structured, distressed and asset-based), equities, fixed income and real assets. She has successfully raised assets for alternative investment vehicles in evergreen and closed-end vehicles. She has a deep global investor network across institutional, asset management firms, family offices, pension, and sovereign wealth funds.
Prior to joining Innovatus Capital Partners, LLC in May 2016, Ms. Cohen was Head of Business Development at BHR Capital LLC, a value-oriented asset manager. At BHR, Ms. Cohen was responsible for all marketing, investor relations and business development. From 2011-2015, she was a Managing Director at Perella Weinberg Partners and was the Product Strategist of the Asset Based Value Funds. Her responsibilities included assisting in strategy and business development and she was the primary contact for investors and prospects in the asset-based value strategy. Additionally, she had ownership of all external communication including investor letters, risk reports, marketing materials and presentations for senior management, prospects and advisory committees. From 2008-2009, Ms. Cohen was in the Investor Relations and Business Development group at Silverpoint Capital, an asset manager with a focus on credit including corporate debt, high-yield and direct lending.
From 2003-2008, Ms. Cohen was Strategy Head of Global Credit Strategies and Relative Value at Tremont Capital Management, a global Fund of Funds with $10 billion of assets under management at peak AUM. In this role she sourced, analyzed, and evaluated credit, fixed income and relative value strategies, including convertible arbitrage, structured credit and multi-strategy funds and oversaw $2.5 billion in hedge fund relationships. At Tremont Capital, Ms. Cohen also served as Portfolio Manager of the Tremont Arbitrage Fund with $100 million under management. Her other work experience includes positions at Banca Instesa S.p.A (2001-2003), Creditex (2000-2001), an online platform for CDS execution, and UBS (1992-1999) where Ms. Cohen held several positions across Corporate Audit and the Emerging Markets Fixed Income Group.
Ms. Cohen received a Bachelor’s of Accountancy from The George Washington University and a MBA in finance/international business from The Stern School of Business at New York University.
