DARRYL ELMOUCHI, M.D.
President, Spectrum Health West Michigan

Dr. Darryl Elmouchi is a member of the Innovatus Advisory Board. He serves as President at Spectrum Health West Michigan, which is a division of Spectrum Health System, an $8.2 billion not-for-profit integrated health system based in West Michigan.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Elmouchi served as Chief Medical Officer, Spectrum Health System, and President, Spectrum Health Medical Group, with responsibility for the system’s multispecialty medical practice, as well as clinical quality, safety and patient experience across Spectrum Health, and oversight and direction for graduate and undergraduate medical education and the Spectrum Health Office of Research. He served as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer, Spectrum Health Hospital Group, from 2017 to 2020 and was Chief, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Spectrum Health Medical Group, and Chair, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Spectrum Health Hospitals, from 2014 to 2016. From 2010 to 2014, he was Medical Director, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Spectrum Health, and served as a cardiac electrophysiologist at West Michigan Heart starting in 2006. Dr. Elmouchi held clinical positions at University of Michigan Health System and University of California, San Francisco. He has been extensively engaged in committee roles, research and education. Dr. Elmouchi also holds an appointment as clinical professor of medicine at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.

Dr. Elmouchi holds a medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, a certificate in biostatistics from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles. He completed his internship, residency and chief residency at the University of California, San Francisco and fellowships in cardiac electrophysiology and cardiovascular medicine at University of Michigan Health System. He is a fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society.
