Webb George
With nearly a decade in the life sciences space, Mr. George has deployed nearly ~$1 billion in his investment career across various investment structures and security types. Prior to Innovatus Capital Partners, LLC, Previously, Mr. George was a senior investment professional with Blackstone Life Sciences where he actively worked on debt, royalty, and equity investments across the life sciences space. While at Blackstone, Mr. George was responsible for sourcing, structuring, conducting diligence, and executing private debt financings, passive royalty monetizations, synthetic royalty financings, R&D financings and partnerships, and growth equity financings for biotech, biopharma, medical device and diagnostic companies within the broader life sciences sector, and he helped deploy over ~$800M in committed capital across various deal structures. In addition to working on new investment opportunities, Mr. George was a member of several joint steering committees where he worked with the Blackstone Life Sciences team and the portfolio company development teams to assess and advise on all aspects of the clinical development and commercial launch processes including trial design, pre-clinical testing, regulatory matters, and commercial launch plans.
As a senior member of the Life Sciences Investment Team, Mr. George works to source, structure, diligence, negotiate, and close deals. Additionally, Mr. George is a member of the Board of Directors or a Board Observer of several life sciences portfolio companies including N- Power Medicines, Inc, Nuvaira, Inc, Providence Medical, Centinel Spine, Inc., and Companion Spine, Inc.
Prior to Innovatus and Blackstone, Mr. George was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley on their Global Healthcare Investment Banking Team where he was responsible for originating, structuring, and executing private debt financings, passive royalty monetizations, synthetic royalty financings, and joint-development partnerships for global clients within the Life Sciences sector among other capital raising and M&A advisory work.
Mr. George attended Georgetown University graduating with a BS in Neurobiology and Economics. While at Georgetown, Mr. George was a Baker Scholar.
